My new Mac mini is at OS 12.1 Monterey. Since then, i can't find a driver for HP Printer F4180 All_in_one Deskjet printer could you help me please. If Not, could you tell me if there a way to downgrade to 12.0 since you have an answer for that version.

After upgrading to Big Sur I couldn't print to my Inkjet 4500 because of the incompatible printer drivers. I naively followed HP's solution to Uninstall and reinstall the drivers only to find there are no drivers available. This printer was working perfectly before. What does HP expect us to do? Should we all ditch these printers with the resultant impact on the environment? Will the drivers for the Inkjet 4500 be available soon?

My printer has been rendered useless. Previously, I'd get the message "hpdm.framework will damage your computer". HP told me to uninstall the old drivers using their uninstall app, which I did. Now, I have to download a driver compatible with the latest macOS, which I could not find. Are there any printer drivers released from HP or from Apple???

Ran the printui /s /t2 command which got me the screen I figured I'd need. Removed the printers, then removed all HP drivers from there. Rebooted the PC, and did it again, cause there was some mention of stuff being in use. After the second run, all HP drivers were gone.

Thank you for taking the time to post a reply. It's appreciated. In regards to your unsupported printer statement for Windows 10, I refer you to -en/document/c04658195The recommended driver is the Windows Update Driver. There areno additional driver options. And Windows 10 Mobile isn't supported. So yes, the DeskJet 710C IS a supported printer under Windows 10.As to step 1: Clean Boot - I upgraded the PC straight from Windows 7, which was printing fine. This precludes any additional program added to Windows 10, since these were also present under Windows 7 and did not hamper the printer in the least.Step 2: Installer service - The installer service seems to run fine for any other potential install I want to run. It's also used by Windows Update, and that runs without any problems too.Step 3: SFC for corrupt files - The install was done cleanly, but I'll give it a go. No other parts of Windows give me any problems, just the printer that isn't talked to.Step 4: My account is part of the Administrator group, and thus has full and unrestricted access to the computer.Anyways, executed step 1, proceeded with step 2, then ran step 3 three times over the system. No issues were found by SFC (no integrity violations) for all three runs. I then removed the printer from the system, removed the driver and driver package from the system, after which I rebooted. The system thus came up with a clean boot, a known re-registered MSIEXEC, and a clean SFC bill of health.Still, to make sure, redid the unregister and re-register of MSIEXEC, and ran the SFC three more times. No errors found on the SFC. No integrity violations at all. Still as clean as can be.So then we get to reinstalling the printer... I disconnected the bought printserver, and reconnected the USB->LPT cable. I know that one works, since I've had it working flawlessly under Windows 7. Heck, it printed not 12 hrs prior to me installing Windows 10. I have not touched the cable, and just went with the upgrade, so any defects in the cable I rule out aswell.Switched on the printer, and gotten to Device Manager. Found a USB device called 'no printer attached'. I suppose that one might be the USB->LPT cable. Eventho the printer itself is turned on, it doesn't see the printer. Removed that device from the device list. In the printqueue part, it shows the CutePDF printer and the main printqueue. So that's entirely expected. Then I let it scan for hardware changes. The 'no printer attached' device returned...Said device does tell me this: Device USBPRINT\UnknownPrinter\7&2a4c19f8&2&USB001 could not be migrated. The driver being used for it is Microsoft, and it's reported as 'working correctly' tho.Going to Devices and Printers to install the printer again. Let it search for devices. Printer is switched on, and connected to the USB->LPT connector. No devices found. So we opt for the device not listed. My printer is older... help me search... Still found nothing. Then we add the printer manually, using the existing USB001 printerport that we also used under Windows 7. Select Windows Update, to let it search the most recent drivers from Windows Update.Go to manufacturer HP, select the HP DeskJet 710C. Windows Update lists it, so again, a notice that the printer IS supported under Windows 10. Next, name it, and allow administrative permissions to install the printer. Do not share the printer, and set it as the default. This page also allows for printing a testpage... Opened the services, and verified the printspooler service as running. Hit the testpage button, and got the notice the testpage was sent to the printer. The printer in the mean time isn't doing anything. Not even indicating that it's receiving any data whatsoever. Printspooler is still running tho... Check the printerqueue. No job present. Open the printer properties, and retry the testpage. And the printspooler stops, testpage is left in the queue. Restarted the printspooler service... which immidiatly stops again. Restart it again, and find that the testprint has vanished from the queue. Printer still having done nothing.Checking the eventlogs (and these are in native dutch, which is the language the OS is installed in):EventID 1000 - errorNaam van toepassing met fout: spoolsv.exe, versie: 10.0.10586.0, tijdstempel: 0x5632d53bNaam van module met fout: HPVSCP50.DLL, versie: 1.0.0.6, tijdstempel: 0x4431bcd4Uitzonderingscode: 0xc0000005Foutmarge: 0x0000000000010af7Id van proces met fout: 0x794Starttijd van toepassing met fout: 0x01d136af13b2f521Pad naar toepassing met fout: C:\WINDOWS\System32\spoolsv.exePad naar module met fout: C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\HPVSCP50.DLLRapport-id: db66bb4c-b015-4ff4-b4a8-95d1ffc3ad17Volledige pakketnaam met fout:Relatieve toepassings-id van pakket met fout:Further info in the next event which is an EventID 1001:Foutbucket , type 0Naam van gebeurtenis: APPCRASHAntwoord: Niet beschikbaarId van CAB-bestand: 0Handtekening van probleem:P1: spoolsv.exeP2: 10.0.10586.0P3: 5632d53bP4: HPVSCP50.DLLP5: 1.0.0.6P6: 4431bcd4P7: c0000005P8: 0000000000010af7P9:P10:Toegevoegde bestanden:C:\Windows\Temp\WERB911.tmp.appcompat.txtC:\Windows\Temp\WERB922.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xmlC:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_spoolsv.exe_7a42449aa205d1e28f7948dcb8fb5e283822ac_b628c7fe_cab_156eb92f\memory.hdmpC:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_spoolsv.exe_7a42449aa205d1e28f7948dcb8fb5e283822ac_b628c7fe_cab_156eb92f\triagedump.dmpDeze bestanden zijn mogelijk hier beschikbaar:C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_spoolsv.exe_7a42449aa205d1e28f7948dcb8fb5e283822ac_b628c7fe_cab_156eb92fAnalysesymbool:Opnieuw zoeken naar oplossing: 0Rapport-id: db66bb4c-b015-4ff4-b4a8-95d1ffc3ad17Rapportstatus: 4Opgedeelde bucket:Followed by another one:Foutbucket 120354998022, type 4Naam van gebeurtenis: APPCRASHAntwoord: Niet beschikbaarId van CAB-bestand: 0Handtekening van probleem:P1: spoolsv.exeP2: 10.0.10586.0P3: 5632d53bP4: HPVSCP50.DLLP5: 1.0.0.6P6: 4431bcd4P7: c0000005P8: 0000000000010af7P9:P10:Toegevoegde bestanden:C:\Windows\Temp\WERB911.tmp.appcompat.txtC:\Windows\Temp\WERB922.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xmlC:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_spoolsv.exe_7a42449aa205d1e28f7948dcb8fb5e283822ac_b628c7fe_cab_156eb92f\memory.hdmpC:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_spoolsv.exe_7a42449aa205d1e28f7948dcb8fb5e283822ac_b628c7fe_cab_156eb92f\triagedump.dmpDeze bestanden zijn mogelijk hier beschikbaar:C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\AppCrash_spoolsv.exe_7a42449aa205d1e28f7948dcb8fb5e283822ac_b628c7fe_0f5ebde2Analysesymbool:Opnieuw zoeken naar oplossing: 0Rapport-id: db66bb4c-b015-4ff4-b4a8-95d1ffc3ad17Rapportstatus: 0This is repeated a couple of times (I restarted the printspooler twice to get it back to a running state again), and I've not included the files mentioned, since they might be too extensive for this forum. So it might be the USB cable... Lets take that out of the equation, and switch to the printserver.Reconnected the printserver, and connected to the IP address I configured for the device.Once I reconnect the printserver to the printer, and ask it what kind of printer it sees, it tells me faithfully it's an HP Deskjet 710C. So the connector on the printer isn't faulty at all.So then we change the USB001 interface with a TCPIP interface that points at the printservers IP. I've done this numerous times at work (sysadmin), so no real problem there. Printer properties, ports, we select the IP port. Apply, and retry the print. And again the printspooler stops working. Restarted the service... and it stops again... And after the second restart, the spooler remains in operation, but the testprint has gone from the printqueue.Your possibility of step 4 isn't really applicable. I am an administrator on the system, and know I have access to everything. I've run all of this under my account which is administrator equivalent, and done so by selecting 'run as administrator' a few times.I also want to point out these threads: -Printing/Deskjet-710C-not-printing-after-Windows-10-Upgrade/td-p... - 3 people indicating problems with their 710C printers under Windows 10 -Printing/driver-for-deskjet-710c-for-win-10/td-p/5205449 -Seems the problem also already occurred under Windows 8/8.1: -hardware/45025-windows-8-1-x64-printer-problems.html - Specifically the 64 bit version seems to have issues -Printing/Deskjet-710C-and-Windows-8-64-Bit/td-p/2156247 -Software-and-Drivers/Deskjet-710c-and-D1460-dont-print-in-windo... -US/44c08d62-232e-4aa0-8e00-23c7a4a06f42/win-8...And Windows 10 is pretty much a progression build on Windows 8/8.1 so the problem seems to have been around for way longer. Also note this other thread I started on the Microsoft site with it's results: -us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/hp-deskjet-710c-fails-to-work-u...HP refers to Microsoft for the driver, but it seems the 64-bit Microsoft driver is not up to the task of talking to this HP printer. Microsoft in the mean time seems to pretend nothing is actually wrong, because probably 'the DeskJet 710C is a dinosaur and thus is not used by anyone anymore'. While I agree the Deskjet 710C is a dinosaur of a printer, it's also one of the finest examples of HP products to survive for such a long time, and still function properly.Going with the above test results, and my findings of my previous posts, aswell as the found posts indicating similar problems, I still stand with my reasoning that the Microsoft provided printerdriver on 64 bit for the HP DeskJet 710C is faulty. 2ff7e9595c
